Last Sunday Converge Media partnered with the Emergency Feeding Program (@emergencyfeeding ), Tre Simmons (@tresimmons13 ), Gardner Global (@jaebadiah , The Chosen Few, Hashtag Lunchbag (@hashtaglunchbagsea )A 4 Apple (@a4applelearningcenter ) and more for their annual meal kit giveaway. Hosted at the Holy Temple Evangelistic Center in Skyway, the event featured meal kits, books, clothing, and other resources for the community, including 400 meal kits.

The annual event has become a staple of the Skyway community as EFP works to provide food and other necessities to those in need. There were also other household items available like diapers and car seats.

The Evangelistic Center is part of the property owned by Jaebadiah Gardner and Gardner Global on which they aim to build 200-400 housing units. For Gardner, helping those in need wake up with full stomachs is a mission close to his heart.

“We wanted to make sure people know we are taking care of them. We invested in Skyway last year by buying this property, and we want to continue on that investment,” Gardner said. “When you’ve been in that posting of food insecurity, you want to help.”
