Besa Gordon Joins Former Seahawk Jermaine Kearse to Try Golf for the First Time
Besa Gordon brought out the star power for her latest edition of #NeverHaveIEver, and took a swing at something new by picking up a golf club for the first time. She joined former Husky and Seahawks Receiver Jermaine Kearse at his indoor golf business Evergreen Golf Club to learn the game and test out her swing.
“I always knew I loved golf, and it just continued to grow,” Kearse said.
Alongside business partner Greg Bodine, who caddies for Bryson DeChambeau on the LIV Golf Tour, Kearse opened the Evergreen Golf Club which features state-of-the-art simulators as well as putting greens and even an indoor chipping area.
“It’s been a ton of fun and a huge learning experience for both of us,” Kearse said. “Golf is a great place to build relationships and we wanted to bring that here.”
Kearse also focuses heavily on bringing youth into the game. He says he’s seen kids as young as six to eight come in and start learning the basics, and that once they start, it’s a lifetime of learning.
He also spoke on the growth of the game and the importance of making the game more inclusive.
“Historically it’s an expensive sport, sort of an elitist sport,” Kearse said. “I think post-covid, there’s more people getting interested and it’s not as much that country club atmosphere anymore.”
For Gordon, this was her first foray into the world of golf. She and Kearse played in the simulator, and you can see the results of her practice with Kearse in the video.
