Night time in Seattle will never be the same as Besa Gordon is taking over the airwaves on Seattle’s HITS 106.1.

Converge’s Pop Culture Queen recently announced a major career update, and you can now catch her on the airwaves every Monday - Friday from 7 pm to 12 pm, as well as Sundays from 12 pm to 3 pm, playing the hits in her hometown.

“It feels really good to be back on the radio during the week in my own hometown of Seattle, Washington,” Gordon said. “To take a full time position like this is very rewarding and it lets me know that the things I’ve been doing over the years are seen and appreciated by the company.”

Gordon began her career in the emerald city as part of the KUBE 93.3 street team seven years ago. Since then, she hasn’t let anything stop her rise to her new position in one of the most coveted spots in city.

“This is a major thing for me, but also just another new chapter in my career in media here in Seattle that has lasted since I was 19,” Gordon said. “Moving from hip hop to top 40 is a big deal, and I’m excited to start that change with this.”

She also said it’s a big deal to be one of the few Black top-40 hosts in the city, and she hopes that being able to represent will open pathways for more.

Of course, you can continue to catch Besa on Converge platforms as well, as her show The Rewind With Besa will continue to bring relevant topics, commentary and guests throughout the week.
