The Seattle Waterfront is reopening in a big way, and Converge Media’s Besa Gordon is excited to experience all it has to offer. Gordon hosted a block party at Pier 62 hosted by Friends of Seattle Waterfront, and now she’s excited to check it out as a visitor. 

“It's super pretty. You're able to see the ferris wheel, you're able to pop over to Ivar’s and then, of course, you have the epic aquarium,” Gordon said. “I think it's just like a great opportunity to highlight more of the beauty in Seattle, and remind people of what's out there.”

The waterfront offers many new events and activities for individuals of all ages. Gordon says she’s especially looking forward to the yoga classes on the pier. 

“It's not just in a random park, you’ll actually be working out on the pier,” Gordon said. So you’ll have the views of the water.”

Gordon is most excited, though, about the outdoor gathering spaces the area provides. She hopes that it will inspire community-building and bring joy.

“We're back living our best lives,” Gordon said. “You might as well get some good views while you do it.”
