There is a saying at Converge Media that "The uplift is real" and nothing epitomizes this phrase more than the consistent uplift of Black-owned businesses across our region by TraeAnna Holiday and her show The Day with Trae on Converge Media and Besa Gordon and her show Back2Besa on KCPQ FOX13 Seattle. Episode after episode there is a consistent and intentional uplift of Black-owned businesses across our region, especially Black woman-owned businesses.

The reality of the uplift continues as last week Trae Holiday announced live on-air the new partnership between Intentions Juice & Smoothie Bar and her show The Day With Trae as well as Back2Besa. Both Holiday and Gordon have been longtime fans of Intentions and its owner Marquita Evans and now this new partnership will see Intentions take the position of official juice partner for both shows while for sure amplyfying the visibility of Intentions across the market.

“The Converge team came out to an event and did a feature on our Tacoma location over a year ago,” Evans said. “The support has just continued as we’ve opened our Seattle location and we’ve ended up partnering as their official juice bar which is big to have both TraeAnna Holiday and Besa Gordon uplifting and supporting Intentions both on and off air, as a small business owner I couldn’t ask for anything more.

The partnership is naturally and organically a perfect fit considering how self-care and wellness are things that are very important to both Holiday and Gordon and are highlighted on on their shows.

“If there’s one thing that’s important to me for 2024, it’s health and wellness. And you know, when you look good, you feel good, but also, you really are what you eat. So, to be able to team up with my girl, Marquita, Evans, and her business, Intentions Juice & Smoothie Bar, is a no-brainer for me. Recently, I didn’t feel well, so I stopped by their Seattle location to grab two wellness shots. And I felt so much better the next day. I was also recently talking to Marquita, and she said they have three-day juice cleanses there. So, outside of the fantastic smoothies and avocado toast that I love so much from her spot, you’re also able to grab things that will really boost your health and wellness,” said Besa Gordon

“Regular viewers of The Day With Trae know that health and wellness are primary topics on our show and we are constantly bringing in experts from our community to teach viewers about ways to exercise, manage mental wellness, and eat healthy. Marquita and her Intentions Juice & Smoothie Bar not only serve up great healthy juices but in addition, Marquita serves up so much knowledge to our viewers so I am beyond thrilled to be joining hands with Marquita and I am sure all the guests on The Day With Trae will be very happy to leave the studio with an Intentions juice,” said TraeAnna Holiday

In the coming months, customers can look forward to in-store meet-and-greet / lunch-and-learn opportunities with both Besa Gordon and Trae Holiday as they mix it up behind the juice bar for customers. Guests at the Black Media Matters Studio in downtown Seattle will be treated to complimentary Intentions juice and shots, there will also be discount codes, giveaways, and a whole lot more and be on the lookout for an upcoming Intentions Juice & Smoothie Bar TV commercial starting Gordon and Holiday.
