The 10th annual Jackson Street Jazz walk took over 8 different venues along South Jackson street for a weekend of music and vibes celebrating both the history and innovation of Jazz music in Seattle. Featuring twenty two different bands and performers, the festival brought the Jazz community together to showcase the richness of the culture that exists in the Emerald City.

The event also featured a heavy historical focus in conjunction with the Black Heritage Society of Washington State. Stephanie Johnson-Toliver and Eugenie Jones held sessions and highlighted the role that Jazz music played in the Pacific Northwest, and there were historical markers located around the area. 

The weekend also featured the Red Dress Jazz Gala, the Blues Bash Afterparty, and Seattle Sings!, which benefited the Carolyn Downs Family Medical Clinic and featured performances from some of Seattle’s best vocalists.

Venues included Pratt Fine Arts Plaza, the Jackson Street Pizza Lounge, Wonder Coffee & Sports Bar, the Cheeky Cafe, Shewa-Ber Bar & Restaurant, and the Central Area Senior Center’s Green Dolphin Street Lounge.
