Kid-preneurs Take Center Stage at Tacoma Children's Business Fair

This past weekend on Back2Besa, we got a glimpse into the future of entrepreneurship. The Tacoma Children's Business Fair, a showcase of young talent and innovation, recently aired, and it was nothing short of inspiring.

Over 50 young entrepreneurs, ranging in age from 5 to 17, participated in the fair, displaying their creativity and business savvy. GZ Radio was on the scene, interviewing several of these impressive kid-preneurs, including:

  • Nicollette Rowe-Combs (event organizer)

  • Pauline Pickett (Wear It & Shine)

  • Harrison Tun (Soap-tastic)

  • Ajay Dillingham (Ajay’s Honey)

  • Cailin Higgins (Wonderful Creations)

  • Samara Canlui (Arts and Hearts)

The segment, produced by Justice Lee, Jabari Brown, and Kaitlyn Nyangate, was a testament to the power of youth entrepreneurship. These young business owners are not just selling products; they're developing skills, building confidence, and learning about the marketplace.

If you missed the segment on Back2Besa, don't worry! You can still catch the excitement of the Tacoma Children's Business Fair. Mark your calendars for the next fair on February 8th. And if you know a budding entrepreneur, encourage them to apply as a vendor at childrensbusinessfair.org.

The Tacoma Children's Business Fair is a shining example of what our youth can accomplish with the right support and encouragement. We can't wait to see what these future CEOs dream up next.
