Besa Gordon showcased the skills of fifteen year old singer/songwriter Maya Russell, who performed her song ‘Take A Minute’ live at Seattle Theatre Group's Elevate. 

Russell began her career at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in a production of Annie, and has since leaped fully into her music career, performing with Mavis Staples and being selected for STG’s More Music at the Moore as well as their Starbucks Up Next Series.

Maya also plays basketball and soccer at Holy Names Academy, and her goals include getting into the recording studio to record her first album
