Seattle treasure Michelle Lang-Raymond recently sat down with Trae Holiday on The Day With Trae to discuss her extensive career in music and her passion for fostering young talent. Lang-Raymond, a renowned figure in the Seattle music scene, shared the accidental beginnings of her music career, stemming from her childhood love of singing and songwriting.

Lang-Raymond recounted how she began writing original songs for friends and family, eventually recording a CD as a Christmas gift. The unexpected success of the CD led to the formation of her group, Michelle Lang and Stillwater. Lang-Raymond's dedication to nurturing young musicians is evident in her work with the Teen Summer Musical program.

She emphasized her belief that age should not limit musical potential and shared her commitment to teaching and inspiring young performers. This year's production of Snow Whyte & The Seven features 73 talented kids, including 22 minis, who are showcasing their skills at the iconic Benaroya Hall.

Lang-Raymond also discussed the importance of supporting young artists and encouraging them to pursue their dreams. She expressed her joy at seeing children like Trae Holiday's son embrace their passion for performing and recognize the value of hard work and dedication.

The interview concluded with Lang-Raymond encouraging viewers to attend the upcoming performances of Snow Whyte & The Seven at Benaroya Hall from August 23rd through the 25th. With five shows scheduled, Lang-Raymond and her team are eager to fill the theater and share the incredible talent of the young performers with the community.
