NEW WEIRD AT NIGHT CARTOON THIS SATURDAY STARRING DEAUNTE DAMPER
WEIRD at NIGHT is a live stream for the late night disenfranchised. Patrick Galactic takes the audience on an artistic voyage, through the stars! We read poetry, share music videos, take dance breaks, do auto-writes, and create strange sketch comedy bits that evolve with each episode. In the words of Omari Salisbury “It’s weird, and it’s at night.” We are inspired by dada, and surrealism and we attack with love. Art is the antidote.
This week we will delve into the past of ‘The Barefoot Messiah,’ a mysterious and charismatic villain played by the incredible Deaunte Damper (artist, activist, and organizer). WEIRD at NIGHT’s resident hero, Shoe Detective Steve Germany, has failed many times to discover the identity of his barefoot nemesis, but now Steve Germany has the help of an invisible spectacled Bear, Dante The Ruler of Hell and Beyond; And unbeknownst to Steve, last week we learned that his former adversary Dartone the Third and his doppelganger Tony Japan are also targeting the Barefoot Messiah. Will the Barefoot Messiah and his army of talking Shoes be able to keep themselves hidden with threats mounting at every side? Will hilarious calamity ensue regardless? Yes! Will you be able to understand our strange storylines? No! We strive to confuse, and we aim to be strange. Let yourself relax, have fun and enjoy the ride. It’s dada, baby! WEIRD at NIGHT is an escape from normal. We encourage the nonsensical and we listen to our subconscious. Join the chat during the show so You too can influence the next chapters in the WAN-iverse. Every script is inspired by the WEIRD at NIGHT Live chat.
Last week on WEIRD at NIGHT, TraeAnna Holiday and Besa Gordon starred in an animated classic! It was the debate between Science and Medicine, between the Goblin Bird Mandy Ravage and their doppelganger Dr. Vince Violin; Plus, we finally got the Triple C character reveal everyone in the WAN-iverse had been waiting for. Ultimately Medicine and Science joined forces, as did TraeAnna Holiday and her doppelganger Trae Halloween. As TraeAnna said during the debate, “Truth and false, right and wrong- These are relative terms like This and That. It all depends on what perspective you are speaking from. The truth is beyond us, yet we are a part of creating it. It’s a mystery.”
Can you solve the mystery of The Barefoot Messiah? Tune in at 10PM on Converge Media this Saturday Night to find out.
