#ReconciliationTour</a> - Film Crew Gathers at NW Emmys to Reflect and Celebrate

“I’m a true believer that we all have a story, and that our stories are what carry our legacy on,” Filmmaker Winfield Ezell Jr.

At the 60th Annual NATAS NW Emmy Awards on Saturday, we gathered to celebrate our film Reconciliation Tour which was nominated for an Emmy in long-form content. Even though we didn’t win, it was a powerful night of reflection that re-affirmed our commitment to telling stories of Black communities nationwide.

“I’m hoping we continue to bring Reconciliation tour to the masses so that they can continue to be inspired and be who they want to become,” Baseball Beyond Borders CEO and Founder Bookie Gates said.

We were honored to have members of the production team present, including Directors Brady McAtee and Winfield Ezell, Audio Engineer Che’Lon McLennan, as well as Baseball Beyond Borders representatives Bookie Gates and Seattle Mariners legend Dan Wilson.

“Seeing the kids mesh with each other and interact with each other, you really see how this work can bring communities together,” McLennan said.

Baseball Beyond Borders embarks today upon their second trip to Jackson as they return to the community to spread the joy of baseball. Our crew is embedded with them once again, as we seek to tell even more impactful stories around this unique experience.

You can see more from the night in the video and make sure to stay tuned for more from Jackson, Mississippi.
