The Liberated Village Arts and Education Festival takes place on May 13th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Alan T. Sugiyama High School. The event will feature about 20 organizations which have been funded by King County through a million-dollar initiative, and will aim to educate and empower Black and Brown youth of all ages, primarily middle school and high school students.

Cal Bonner took interest in art at a young age. Fascinated by his friend's arts, he had to trace them as a form of practice. "My friend was a good artist; he drew, and I was tracing art," said Bonner.

His friend encouraged him to start drawing by himself. "He said you've got to draw something for real, and so he made me draw on the spot in front of him, and then that's when I learned that this is something different," Bonner said.

The Seattle People’s fellowship is a platform for young people to share ideas and opportunities for community engagement. Aaron Carr and Aleyanna Grae joined The Day With Trae to discuss the fellowship and the Seattle People’s Budget.

The case, which she previously discussed on HeartBeat With Cindi Bright, centers around the death of Michael Rowland at the King County Jail, where Mr. Rowland was pinned down by officers and later found dead in his cell.

The new director of King County Public Health Dr. Faisal Khan sat down with Trae Holiday on The Day With Trae to talk about health issues facing the community, including what he calls the “slowly-unfolding catastrophe” of Fentanyl.
