If you’ve been looking for a Black College homecoming vibe in Seattle, this is it. The first-ever Swingman Classic is coming to T-Mobile Park on July 7th at 7 pm, featuring 50 of the best HBCU baseball players from around the country.
Hosted by the one and only Ken Griffey Jr along with MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Association, this event is the All-Star game before the All-Star game featuring players from Grambling, Alabama State, FAMU, Jackson State, Norfolk State, Southern University and more!

MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation and Ken Griffey Jr. launched the inaugural "HBCU Swingman Classic,” an annual All-Star experience for baseball student-athletes from Division-I programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU). The Classic will highlight the history and legacy of HBCU baseball programs, provide 50 student-athletes with the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage, and include a post-game firework show.
