
CONVERGE AT THE PARAMOUNT
Converge Media took over the historic Paramount Theatre for two days of live broadcasts. The shows brought together a live audience with incredible guests and Converge family members. If you missed it, you can get caught up on everything that happened below.
DAY ONE
featured a variety of guests from all areas of the community. TraeAnna Holiday and Besa Gordon welcomed representatives from the Seattle Theatre Group, musicians, artists, community leaders and more to the Paramount lobby for our live broadcasts.
Manager of Performing Arts Programs Jack McLarnan at Seattle Theatre Group joined The Day With Trae to talk about the fine arts programs STG is currently working on.
Jay Martin Jr. joined The Day With Trae to discuss The Drive Project Podcast on which he hosts on the Converge Media Network as well as his journey and career.
Trae was joined by Black Stax during our Paramount Takeover to talk music, art and community.
Besa Gordon was joined by Seattle Theatre Group Board Member George Northcroft to talk about what STG has been doing within the community to get the youth in the theatre.
Besa Gordon was joined by KD Hall, who is the Principal Chief Executive Officer at KD Hall Communications to talk about the KD Hall Foundation, Girls On The Rise, and her career journey.
Marie T. Kidhe joined Besa to talk about the connection between African Americans and Africans becoming stronger, curating events in Seattle, and how she joined Friends of Waterfront Seattle.
Art Queen Takiyah “T Dub” Ward sat down with Besa to talk about Art of the Matter, the #BlackLivesMatter on Cap Hill, her advice for artists and creating art around the city.
DAY TWO
saw the return of Trae and Besa alongside a live audience, bringing a the community the the forefront. TraeAnna Holiday and Besa Gordon welcomed educators, musicians, artists, fellow Converge hosts, chefs and more the Paramount lobby.
Seattle Theatre Group’s Associate Director of Education Rex Kinney joined The Day With Trae to talk about his work with STG and their educational efforts.
Community leader Wyking Garrett joined Trae in the Paramount Lobby to discuss his work with Africatown Community Land Trust and current projects he is working on.
Converge Media’s ProofNThePlay joined The Day With Trae to talk about his show The Truth With Proof, his high school sports coverage with The Roundup, and his journey.
Ronald and Ronnel Moore (The Factorz) joined The Rewind With Besa to talk about Seattle nightlife, how people can get on their show, misconceptions, Kanye West and more.
Converge Media’s Deaunte Damper joined the Rewind With Besa to talk about his show We Live In Color and his proudest moments along his journey.
Cool Nutz and Mikey and Moe from The Trap Kitchen joined Besa to talk about some exciting events coming up, the restaurant in the Rose City, and misconceptions around Portland Hip-Hop.
Day 2 also featured a moving tribute to D’Vonne Pickett Jr.
Omari Salisbury and ProofNThePlay hosted an hour long special remembering the impactful life of Pickett, who was tragically murdered. They were joined by therapists Adair Hasty-Vannoy and Michelle Phillips.
