4th Annual MLKCC Black History Month 

TRAILBLAZER Awards  

THEME: “FIGHT VOTER SUPPRESSION

WHAT:  MLKCC Black History Month Awards Program provides the platform to recognize and celebrate local Black trailblazers who are  “1st” in their field and exemplify a life that embody the principles of Rev. Dr. King.

The Black History Month program will be live streamed on Rainier Ave. Radio, show begins at 4:30 PM, Awards Ceremony at 5:00PM and Reception to follow.

WHY: Black History Month is an opportunity for us to define, share and celebrate historically significant contributions and achievements of Black people.

1971, 1st Black woman 

Williams Owen Bush Award

Girmay Zahilay, 1st African Born King County Councilmember 

Larry Gossett Servant of the People Award
