KD Hall Foundation: Rising Together

KD Hall Foundation, a non-profit organization providing education, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities for women and girls of color, is celebrating Women’s History Month by hosting a leadership conference. The Foundation’s most popular acclaimed program, Girls on the Rise, is co-hosting the event.

Participants at the conference will enjoy a day of education, inspiration, and mentoring hour of girl talk.  Discussions will be led by speakers and advocates from non-profits, philanthropies, businesses, and women mentors volunteering their time to invest in the future of girls.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Foundation’s community service event presents 2 educational opportunities for Seattle-area women. Firstly, girls will explore the gender wage gap crisis. According to a 2021 report by the World Economic Forum, current efforts show it will take 268 years to close the gap in Economic Participation and Opportunity. Secondly, women have the chance to understand how to fight Human Sex Trafficking. As one of the Girls on the Rise advocacy areas, the program plans to end human sex trafficking globally through awareness.

This event is free and open to all young girls ages 11 - 17. Interested participants should plan to meet at the KD Hall Foundation at 10:30 a.m. for an event-filled day focusing on the inherent power of women and girls. KD Hall Foundation is located in the historic central district in the 2100 building. KD Hall Foundation and Girls on the Rise leadership cohort will focus on their advocacy areas. Local participants can find out more about Girls on the Rise, a stipend-paid leadership program to discover and advocate for global causes.

Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history, to which the KD Hall Foundation dedicates philanthropy, education, and application-based learning to our girls. Co-founder KD Hall “hopes to connect with diverse girls and their support systems on Saturday, March 25th, 2023.”

KD Hall Foundation has three pillars: Investment in Women and Girls' Education and Leadership, Health and Wellness, and Community Advocacy and Engagement. These are the most important factors for women and girls today to enrich themselves with their education and leadership. The core of KD Hall Foundation is educational-based leadership programs for girls, which is evident in the recent announcement of its 30-year strategy, focusing on its signature program, Girls on the Rise
