Sickle Cell Awareness Blood Drive

  • 2100 Building 2100 24th Avenue South Seattle, WA, 98144 United States (map)

The KD Hall Foundation is proud to announce its upcoming Sickle Cell Awareness Blood Drive, a critical event aimed at making a lasting impact on individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease. Scheduled for September 7th from 11 am to 5 pm at the 2100 Building, this initiative is set to raise awareness, promote blood donation, and provide essential resources to the Black and POC communties in Seattle.

The KD Hall Foundation's involvement in the Sickle Cell Awareness Blood Drive goes beyond blood donation. Black blood donors are needed now more than ever and are critical in helping people with sickle cell disease. Sickle cell disease, a genetic disorder that affects hemoglobin, the protein responsible for carrying oxygen in the blood, disproportionately affects our Black and POC communties. This Sickle Cell Awareness Blood Drive represents a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute directly to the well-being of those battling this condition. By donating blood, you can make a difference in the life of our Seattle Black and POC communities, patients with sickle cell disease, people with complicated childbirths, individuals fighting cancer, accident or trauma victims being raced to emergency rooms and many more.
