2nd Annual Summit on Black Historical Preservation

Join us on May 10th to learn more about the work of local organizations preserving Black history across Washington State, featuring keynote speaker Senator Drew Hanson.

Evergreen State College Tacoma and The Sankofa Foundation have invited speakers from all over Washington to speak and lead workshops discussing how those across the state have been unearthing and preserving Black history.

Other leaders and groups in attendance will include the Mayor of Tacoma, WA State Dept of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, Black Legacy Institute, The Remnant Project, Black Heritage Society of Washington and others.
