The rodeo featured some of the bravest riders and fiercest bulls in the country, all vying for a chance to win a share of the impressive $60,000 prize pool. Attendees were treated to an exhilarating display of skill and courage as cowboys and cowgirls competed in various events, including bull riding, bronc riding, and barrel racing.
Beyond the thrilling competitions, the 8 Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo also served as a platform to honor the often-overlooked contributions of Black cowboys to American Western heritage. The event paid tribute to the Black rodeo legends who paved the way for today's athletes, inspiring a new generation of cowboys and cowgirls to carry on the tradition.
Adding to the festive atmosphere was the live music provided by DJ OG One, who kept the energy high with a mix of classic and contemporary beats. Food vendors offered a variety of tasty treats, ensuring that attendees were well-fed and energized throughout the weekend.
