A 4 Apple Learning Center’s Grand Opening set for December 11th

Seattle, December 11th, 2021 – A 4 Apple Learning Center is ready to provide high-quality education in an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment for toddlers, preschoolers,  and school-age children (12 months to age 12 years). They will support your children’s early education through this pivotal stage of learning for years to come. 

A 4 Apple Learning Center will be having its grand opening at its new location in the heart of  Seattle’s Central District! 

This event will feature guest speakers who are major supporters who helped make this event possible, including the Elect-Mayor of Seattle to show the city’s support for Deborah V.  Coleman and her daughter Appollonia Washington - the owners of A 4 apple).  

The ribbon-cutting will be held at 323 23rd Ave and S Jackson Street on December 11, 2021, at  12:00 PM

About A 4 Apple Learning Center  

Deborah V. Coleman, and her daughter Appollonia Washington, the owners of A 4 Apple  learning center, have dedicated themselves to preschool education. A 4 Apple Learning Center  has served the community for 25 years. Since 1994, A 4 Apple has been devoted to providing  outstanding and unique preschool education and daycare service and mainly aims to assist low income families. 

The mission of A 4 Apple is to provide high-quality programs for toddlers and preschool in a  supportive, safe learning environment to create a home away from home. Deborah and  Appollonia have owned and operated this business for over a decade and are ready to serve more  families. 

A 4 Apple has collaborated with municipal, state, civic, education, healthcare, and community  partners to successfully deliver high-quality, culturally-relevant children’s programs to over 300  low- to middle-income parents and children of color in the Seattle Metro Area. A 4 Apple is  registered and certified as an Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP)  provider and is one of five newly certified City of Seattle Preschool Program Contractors. The  business is currently rated at Level 3 - demonstrating high quality - in WA’s Early Achievers  (EA) Quality Assurance System. They will continue to provide the quality of service that A 4  Apple’s full-day/year-round home childcare for infants to 5-year-olds has provided for years.

About Community House Mental Health Agency 

A 4 Apple Learning Center’s location is owned by Patricia K. LLC, which is a tax credit  partnership controlled by Community House Mental Health Agency. Community House was  incorporated in 1978, providing counselling, a meal program and recreational activities to people  who were moving from mental institutions out into the community. Since 1995 Community  House has significantly expanded to provide a full continuum of outpatient and residential care  services. The agency has three 24 hour assisted living facilities for 115 clients and seven  independent apartment buildings totally 168 additional units of housing for the most severely and  persistently mentally ill adults in King County. Community House manages all of its buildings.  Executive Director Chris Szala has led Community House since 1991 and has overseen the  development of all ten of the agency’s housing programs. The Patricia K Apartments opened in  March 2020, serving 52 single, formerly homeless adults with mental illness. 

About Seattle University’s Resource Amplification & Management Program (RAMP.up)In the last 2 years, RAMP-up supported six Black-owned businesses in the Central Area of Seattle and in South King County with their expansion and relocation projects. With help from RAMP-up, these businesses accessed almost $1,500,000 in new and pending capital, mostly in the form of grants and forgivable loans. The RAMP-up client experience has been carefully designed to serve the small business owner in every area they need: finance, accounting, marketing, business development, customer acquisition, communications, legal, resource connections, business planning, and project management.
