Converge Media Presents: Art Of The Matter - “TDUB” launches show about artists, for artists, and by artists.

Episode one of the new series Art Of The Matter, hosted by TDUB, features abstract artist Moses Sun. This episode was filmed last September during Moses' show 'Freedom Ain't Free: Conversations with my Father' a mixed media installation based on "conversations with my dad and life events that shape my worldview". TDUB also visits Moses at his home studio, to see him in-process and discuss the depths of his work. The connection between Moses and TDUB is apparent and makes for a no holds barred exchange between friends about all things art, life and family.

What is Art Of The Matter?

The new series Art Of The Matter, hosted and directed by TDUB seeks to bring a more personal perspective to the world of art. We are in a time when art is being consumed at an increased rate, between large scale public murals, art planning in development, and digital art, the demand is high. But what about the people who create it? Art Of The Matter hopes to be a platform for artists to express what thoughts, feelings and emotions are present in their works and provide viewers with a unique backstory on some of the art world's greatest creations.  Imagine if you could talk to Rembrandt? Or watch Van Gogh work? Have dinner with Carravaggio or a cafe with Monet? What topics would you discuss? What questions would you ask?  Join us as we discuss the highs and lows of what it means to make art in today's world. And get an exclusive look inside the mind of some of today's greatest creators.

What can we expect from Season One?

This first season will feature 13 episodes of conversations between artists. Some names include Moses Sun, barry johnson, and Kimisha Turner. Art Of The Matter also had a magnificent opportunity to travel to Belize in partnership with Alaska Airlines and the Belize Tourism Board  in its first season and will be featuring conversations with realism phenom Kevin Moralez as well as painting and music master Pen Cayetano. Each episode will feature one on one conversation with an artist as well as some visuals of their process. TDUB was intentional in not wanting this to be an interview show but rather an opportunity for two artists to relate on the current state of the art world.

TDUB hopes in highlighting these individuals, viewers will get a better understanding of the people behind the art, what drives them, and what they hope their art brings to our shared human experience. Viewers can expect episodes bi-weekly with the next one dropping Monday February 7th at 6pm across all Converge Media Platforms.
