Besa Gordon Checks in at Climate Pledge Arena for the Kraken Food Preview Ahead of Playoffs

Our very own Besa Gordon checked in at Climate Pledge Arena earlier this week for a preview of new food items and partnerships before the Seattle Kraken head to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. She met with Climate Pledge Arena Executive Chef Molly De Mers, CEO of Trident Seafoods Joe Bundrant, CEO of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) Craig Morris and more.

“This is an exciting time,” De Mers said. “My grandma was always cooking, and I was hypnotized by it. My favorite thing about cooking is that food brings people together.”

De Mers said that people can expect even the basic items at CPA to exceed their expectations. She recommends the fish tacos and the salmon burger,

“Our goal is really just to make really good food,” De Mers said.

For Bundrant and Trident, the partnership is something they’ve been working towards for a long time.

“We can’t match the excitement the Kraken are bringing on the ice, but we can bring some really great products to the fans as the team heads to the playoffs,” Bundrant said.

Morris added to the excitement as GAPP was named the official whitefish of the Kraken.

“It really is a dream come true,” Morris said.

You can try all of these new food items and more as the Kraken make their playoff debut at Climate Pledge Arena beginning this month.
