Besa Gordon Returns to the Studio After 10-Week Break
After a 10-week hiatus, Besa Gordon was back in the Black Media Matters Studio last night and is ready to reconnect with her audience this weekend. Although she is still on a healing journey, Besa was grateful to be back doing what she loves and was thankful for the amazing team that kept Back2Besa on FOX 13 Seattle going strong in her absence.
Ten weeks ago, Besa made the difficult decision to step away from her show to prioritize her health and well-being. Besa's decision was met with an outpouring of support and understanding from her audience, who wished her a speedy recovery and eagerly awaited her return.
In taping her first episode back, which will air this weekend, Besa reflected on the surreal experience of returning to her hosting duties: "It almost felt like I'd never left." She expressed her gratitude to her director, Erik Kalligraphy, for making the transition so seamless: "Erik just made it so easy for me when I came in." She also acknowledged the incredible guest hosts who stepped in during her absence: Trae Holiday, Deaunte Damper, Takiyah Ward, and Curtis Delgardo.
While Besa was excited to be back, she also recognized that her healing journey was ongoing: "We were still taking it one day at a time." However, she was confident that the show was in good hands with her talented team and was eager to continue sharing her insights and experiences with her viewers.
Make sure to tune into Good Day Seattle on FOX 13 this Thursday at 8:15 a.m. to catch a preview of this weekend's episode. Also, catch Besa’s return to Back2Besa this Saturday at a special time of 11 p.m. on Saturday night on FOX 13 and Sunday at 10 a.m. on FOX13+.
Welcome back, Besa! We're so glad to have you back on the air.
