Besa Gordon Spotlights AI House Grand Opening on Good Day Seattle

This morning, Besa Gordon made her weekly appearance on FOX 13 Seattle’s Good Day Seattle, and this week she took time to spotlight the grand opening of AI House — a brand-new incubator for artificial intelligence startups located on Pier 70 along the Seattle Waterfront.

In her live segment with host Bill Wixey, Besa described the AI House as a “groundbreaking” development that will play a major role in solidifying Seattle as a national leader in artificial intelligence innovation. “It’s not just about startups,” she explained. “It’s about building an intentional ecosystem that uplifts underrepresented communities and creates real career opportunities in tech.”

The AI House is a collaborative effort between the City of Seattle Office of Economic Development, Washington State Department of Commerce, Ada Developers Academy, and the Ai2 Incubator. Together, these groups aim to support early-stage AI companies while prioritizing workforce development and inclusion. Programs like Ada have already made a tangible impact — having helped over 1,300 women across the Greater Seattle area launch careers in tech and AI.

Besa also highlighted Yoodli.Ai, an AI-powered communication tool that functions like “Grammarly for speech.” Designed to improve public speaking skills, the platform gives users real-time feedback on filler words, clarity, and tone. “It’s like having a no-nonsense friend who wants you to win,” Besa shared, noting how surprised she was by how many filler words she uses when talking on camera.

What makes the Ai House particularly significant, Besa emphasized, is its mission to make tech more inclusive and reflective of the people it serves. She opened up about the real-life impact of underrepresentation in tech, referencing her own experience with something as simple as a soap dispenser not recognizing her hand. “It’s not that it doesn’t want to work,” she said, “but someone who looks like me wasn’t part of the testing process.”

Besa’s appearance not only spotlighted a major step forward for Seattle’s tech community but also reflected her continued commitment to sharing meaningful stories through Back2Besa

Viewers can catch the full feature on this weekend’s episode, airing Saturday at 10:30 p.m. on FOX 13 and Sunday at 10 a.m. on FOX 13+.
