Besa Gordon Taps In Backstage At The First Kraken Pre-Season Game Of The Year

Kraken season is finally back, and #Back2Besa host Besa Gordon pulled up to the first pre-season game to check on the team and tap in with the voice of the Kraken Everett Fitzhugh as well as Kraken superfan Alicia Crank. For Gordon, it was a full circle moment after her first Kraken interview came with Fitz nearly a year to the day prior.

“Last season I went from watching the games and being confused to literally running through the stadium in my heels after we scored,” Gordon said.

Fitzhugh said that feeling has been echoed by many he’s talked to, and that the growth of the sport within the city has been remarkable.

“Building a new team in Seattle, people now understand the game and love this team,” Fitzhugh said. “They’re as excited as everyone in the organization. It’s like one big Kraken family and I love it.”

Gordon also got to check out the Space Needle lounge, where she and Crank experienced the luxuries afforded by Climate Pledge Arena. They also spoke about Crank’s membership in the 32 Krew.

“The 32 Krew is the official fan group. We started before we even knew what the team was going to named,” Crank said.

Crank added that the biggest thing for fans to know is to be careful of walking in front of seats while the puck is in play.

To cap it off, Gordon visited the official Kraken DJ, DJ Trunks. They took in the view from the main stage of the Space Needle Lounge, where Trunks brings the vibes before and during every Kraken home game.

“This is our stage - it’s a lot of fun,” Trunks said.

Make sure to keep an eye out for Gordon at the first Kraken regular season home game on October 17th.
