PHOTOS: Celebrating Juneteenth 2024 with the Northwest African American Museum

Juneteenth is a time to commemorate Black freedom and liberation, and this year the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) hosted a vibrant weekend of events to mark the occasion. With a focus on community, education, and the celebration of Black history, art, and culture, Juneteenth 2024 was a resounding success.

The museum partnered with numerous presenters, volunteers, and vendors to curate a diverse and engaging program. Events took place over three days, from Saturday, June 15th to Wednesday, June 19th, offering something for everyone.

NAAM's Juneteenth celebration is a testament to the power of community and the ongoing pursuit of justice and equity. By centering Black history and culture, the museum continues to play a vital role in fostering understanding and appreciation for the Black experience.
