On Wednesday, students from Rainier Avenue Radio’s Creative Arts Digital Media Academy visited our #BlackMediaMatters Studio. While there, they met with Back2Besa host Besa Gordon to hear about the importance of Black media as well as learn what it takes to be a media professional. They also got to hold Converge’s Emmy Award and sign the studio wall.

During the CADMA Program, the kids received lessons and training on photography, cinematography, journalism, video editing, audio, archiving, beat making, and more. The free program aims to give youth, primarily in South Seattle, a chance to explore their interests in media and spark their creativity while giving them the tools for success.

You can find out more about the program here.
