Elevators, Ep. 1 coming to Seattle on December 23rd

An exciting new sonic experience is coming to Seattle on December 23rd at the Clock-Out Lounge. Presented by Big World Breaks and Vinyl Sound, Elevators, Ep. 1 will feature the sounds of DJs Avi Loud and Miguel Rockwell and the percussion of Aaron Walker-Loud.

“What's cool is that what we're doing is sort of a unique thing,” Avi Loud said. “All three of us have roots within the dance music community in Seattle and that's where a lot of initial inspiration and exposure came from.”

The experience will feature live percussion layered on top of the beats from the DJs, creating what the performers hope will be the first of many unique and unforgettable nights.

“I think the vibe is just really cool,” Rockwell said. “The energy and the direction that we're going is something that I feel like has been missing from the Seattle music scene. I feel like the energy that we're creating reminds me of the energy that I used to feel growing up going to local hip hop shows, and just kind of the sense of community that we're focusing on with the event”

The name ‘Elevators’ comes from the idea that the event will elevate the experience of those listening as well as being a reference to an OutKast song all three men are a fan of.

“We're actually elevating people's spirits, whether it's just sonically or by way of dance. I think there's sort of a mystic science behind it where those elements with those intentions can give people something that they didn't know they needed.”

It’s the community movement and vibes that Elevators looks to bring to Beacon Hill. Aaron Walker-Loud says that bringing people together with a good energy is the most important part.

“If people weren't dancing, I wouldn't be drumming,” Walker-Loud said. “If people weren't inspired to move and make noise and celebrate life through dance and through communion and coming together, I would never have been on stage, I wouldn't have sticks in my hand.”

Elevators, Ep. 1 will take place December 23rd at 8:30 pm at The Clock-Out Lounge. You can purchase tickets for Elevators, Ep. 1 here
