Get ready for an inspiring and vibrant episode of Back2Besa! Host Besa Gordon has been on the move, traversing the Pacific Northwest to bring viewers a collection of powerful Black stories and community highlights. This week's episode promises to be a rich tapestry of experiences, showcasing resilience, celebration, and connection.

The episode begins with a deeply moving tribute at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands. The community gathers to honor the life and legacy of Elijah L. Lewis, a dedicated activist tragically lost to gun violence. In collaboration with Solace, an organization founded in Elijah's honor, and Nurturing Roots, the event features planting, volunteering, and the symbolic release of root-bound plants. This act represents growth and healing, honoring Elijah's passion for community and the Earth. The segment underscores the enduring power of community and connection in the face of tragedy.

Next, Besa heads to WOW Gallery at Pacific Place Mall for the HERStory Tea Party. This special high tea celebrates Black women's contributions during Women's History Month, bringing together women’s organizations, sororities, and changemakers. The gathering focuses on empowerment, justice, and connection, with honorees sharing their journeys and the missions behind their movements. It’s a moment of storytelling, healing, and sisterhood, creating a space for Black women to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.

Michelle Forbes shares the heartwarming story behind PJ’s, a legacy project honoring their mother and spreading "organic love" to the community. Viewers will learn about the meticulous process of creating their signature treats and the joy behind every bite.
