#ShootingInColor - Liv Lyons is Breaking Barriers in Sports Photography Across Seattle

Seattle photographer Liv Lyons has been breaking down barriers across the Seattle Sports scene and more as she leads the way towards increased representation on the sidelines and in the press box.

“I’m really proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish this year,” Lyons said. “There’s been so much good that has happened and also still so much left to do.”

Lyons has shot notable events this year, including Ichiro’s Mariners Hall of Fame induction, the Kraken home opener, and the Mariners' first home playoff game in 21 years.

She knows, though, that the best is yet to come.

“I’m really grateful for the community I’ve found. Black Women Photographers is a great family to be a part of and we have a popping slack channel and we uplift each other,” Lyons said.
