Mariners Unveil New Muckleshoot Diamond Club, Press Club Ahead of Opening Day
Besa Gordon and Curtis Delgardo II were at T-Mobile Park yesterday for the unveiling of the Mariners’ newly renovated Muckleshoot Diamond Club and Press Club. They took in the sights and sounds as President of Business Operations Catie Griggs spoke to the press.
The new Muckleshoot Diamond Club was designed in partnership with the Muckleshoot Tribe, bringing their influence into the decor and experience.
“We’re excited to be able to celebrate the role that they play in our community,” Griggs said. “This is an upscale environment that we know will resonate with our fans.”
Vice Chairman of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Donny Stevenson agreed, saying the new club is a meaningful connection with the Mariners. Tribe member Brandon Moses kicked off the unveil with a Tribal blessing.
“It’s so powerful, and I’m happy to be a part of this work today,” Stevenson said. “It’s a beautiful club, and very on brand with our brand.”
The deal was signed by the Tribe’s sovereign government, not the casino.
“That’s important, because then it becomes almost entirely about cultural preservation and not about business,” Stevenson said.
The Muckleshoot Diamond Club will feature Tribal decor, including masks, canoe paddles, specially decorated bats and more.
The Press Club featured food, champagne, and the perfect view to take in Mariners game. Located in the site of the former press box, it creates an upscale experience for ticket holders.
“We’ve been hard at work all offseason making sure this is a ballpark that all of our fans can be proud of,” Griggs said. “There are people who want different things out of this ballpark, and we want to make sure we have something for everyone.”
Despite the unveiling of new upscale options, Griggs also emphasized the fact that there will be $10 value tickets available to every single game in the Center Field bleachers.
