My Vaccine Story: Dawn Mason

“I was pumped to get vaccinated because I needed to be vaccinated. Actually, it wasn't any kind of decisive moment. It was that I needed to be vaccinated, and

they were hard to get [at the time].”

“I've been vaccinated since I went to school in 1950. We had to have some kind of vaccinations to go to school. And then polio came along. In order to go swimming and stuff we needed the vaccine.”

I’ve traveled to other countries. I’ve gone to South America, I’ve been to Africa. So I had to get certain shots, it was just something you do. So it’s not new to me. It wasn’t foreign. I didn’t get caught up in all the paranoia about this.
