On The Block bring artists, vendors together for a creative marketplace
Last weekend, our Art Queen Takiyah “TDub” Ward tapped in at On The Block, one of Capitol Hill’s preeminent vendor fairs. The streets of Capitol Hill were filled with artists, vendors, creators and more as the community celebrated the start of summer by re-connecting and supporting local business.
“It’s super crucial for me to just be in touch with the people because it’s all about collaboration and building each other up,” Joogs INTL. Founder Anand Galloway-Davis said. “It’s all about community really.”
It was an opportunity for both smaller and larger businesses alike to get out and connect with the greater community, as well as share their talents with new customers.
“I really love doing what I do,” Artist Leteefha of Artsy Ears said. “It’s my passion and I just want to share it with everybody.”
The marketplace will return every second Saturday through October on 11th Avenue between E Pike and E Pine streets. You can find out more on their Instagram @ontheblockseattle
