Parisalexa, Travis Thompson, and Massive Monkees headline the Downtown Summer Sounds Concert Series
The Downtown Seattle Association's (DSA) popular summer concert series, Downtown Summer Sounds, is back for its 45th year, offering a diverse range of free performances across 13 venues in the heart of the city. This year's lineup, the most diverse in the series' history, features a wide variety of acts, from local bands to world-champion breakdancers and even a musician creating sounds through the bioelectricity of mushrooms, promising something for everyone.
The series starts on Friday, July 5th, in Westlake Park with singer-songwriter Thao, formerly of Thao & the Get Down Stay Down. You can catch Songbird Parisalexa with DJ Nayiram on Wednesday, July 10, at The Square at 2+U. Travis Thompson August 8th at Safeco Plaza and Massive Monkees with Gabriel Teodros and Prometheus Brown Occidental Square September 5th and
Other highlights include Modern Biology, whose plant-based music videos have garnered millions of views on TikTok, and Seattle's own breakdance crew, Massive Monkees, winners of the 2004 World B-Boy Championships.
Performances will occur in various locations, including Westlake Park, Occidental Square, and The Crocodile. The series runs through Tuesday, September 10th.
