Photos: Besa Gordon Attends Communion Restaurant and Bar’s 3-Year Anniversary Celebration

Written by Besa Gordon - Now, THIS is how you have an anniversary party! In case you missed it, Communion Restaurant and Bar celebrated their 3-year anniversary Tuesday evening, and you already know your girl had to pull up to support. I always say Communion is one spot that's more than just your average restaurant. People really do come there to commune with the community. I'm always reconnecting with friends I grew up with in the Central District when I stop by. And this night is no different.

For those that don't know Communion is owned by the Mom and Son duo of Chef Kristi Brown and Damon Bomar. And, I think it's important to note Communion opened up during the pandemic, and not only are they still here, but they are truly thriving. Since opening, they have made the New York Times restaurant list, named in the Best New Restaurants in the World: 2021 Hot List by Condé Nast Traveler's, was one of Seattle's 2021 Eater Awards Winners, and more.

Not going to lie, but it's been a minute since I went somewhere and actually danced, but Communion will just bring those vibes out of you.

Check out photos from the afterparty taken by Seattle photographer Jordan Somers on behalf of Converge Media. And be sure to watch Back2Besa this Saturday at 10:30 pm on FOX 13 Seattle to see how it all went down.
