Written by: Besa Gordon - Let's take a moment to talk about all the things that will be on Back2Besa this weekend... Actually, first I have to say, the show officially turns 38 on Saturday, as we are officially on ep 38 this weekend. It's deff time to recap everything that's been on the show becasue, at this point, we've told over 150 stories since the launch on of the show on FOX 13 Seattle. What a blessing it is for the entire Back2Besa team and me to truly be able to highlight stories all across the PNW.

I remember being asked what my dream job was while on the iHeart Radio street team, and I said it was simply to get paid to be Besa. In other words, I wanted to make money by doing what I love—telling stories about what's happening in my community and highlighting dope events, businesses, and people. And look at what I get to do every single week now. Yall just to wait and see what I have in store next.

Anywhoots, as for what's on the show this week :)

  • We go to Rainier Playfield for the ribbon cutting of the new baseball and softball field.

  • I head to T-Mobile Park for the 2024 Media Food preview to see (and try) all the new foods that came to the ballpark this season.

  • Red Bull's Lords of the Floor returns to Seattle for the first time in 20 years, so we catch up with Free from Circle of Fire and Soul Shifters to get the deets on what's going down at the event this year.

  • We head to West Seattle to talk with world-renowned graffiti artists Totem, Charms, and Graves over in West Seattle, as they brought an empty wall to life with their artistic graffiti touch.

  • I heard there was a Black-Owned Crystal shop in Cap Hill, so I deff had to pull up to Sankofa Boutique to learn more about the store.

  • We go to Victory Hall for the Ladies First Vibe Bingo night and vendors market.

  • Traveling While Black is back to tell us some of their favorite places to go hiking around Western Washington.
