In a big Pacific division showdown, the Seattle Kraken defeated the Vancouver Canucks in a Pacific Northwest rivalry game that results in a massive two points for the Kraken as they look to push themselves further towards a wild card spot.

The Seattle Kraken showed positives in their overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings, but not enough positives obviously as they ended up losing and failing to make the most out of their opportunity to climb back towards a wild card spot.

Returning home from a road trip to kick things off after the All-Star break, the Seattle Kraken began a six-game homestand with an overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings that was well within their hands to win. The Kraken overcame a goal deficit on three separate occasions, but couldn't score a winner.

The Seattle Kraken will lose another forward with a long-term injury, as Andre Burakovsky will miss approximately 6-8 weeks with what is being called an "upper body injury." The Kraken will be without a player that was their leading point scorer last season before he suffered a groin injury that ended his campaign immediately after the all-star break.

The Seattle Kraken fell to the Colorado Avalanche in the their home opener, scoring the opening goal in the first period only to allow a rough second period to set the tone of this game for the rest of the night. In another battle with one of the NHL’s top teams, the Seattle Kraken yet again came out victorious as the New Jersey Devils entered the deep for a battle of the cryptids. Kraken forward Ryan Donato lead the way with two goals, before Andre Burakovsky nailed the game winner in overtime.

To end their six game homestand, the Seattle Kraken scored eight goals in a barn burner of a victory over the San Jose Sharks. Seven different skaters found the back of the net for Seattle, as the team continues to display potential pieces of a playoff team.

The Seattle Kraken extended their win streak to five, as they opened a six game homestand with a thrashing 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators. Andre Burakovsky tallied three points, while Jordan Eberle netted two goals. The Kraken put on a beautiful performance on national television

The Seattle Kraken blew out the Buffalo Sabres in the first game of the their homestand, thanks in large part to the fourth line of Brandon Tanev, Morgan Geekie, and Daniel Sprong. Seattle remains at third in the Pacific Division.

In the second game of their opening homestand, the Seattle Kraken were again blown out, this time by the Carolina Hurricanes. Seattle falls to a 1-2-1 record, and are in the middle of a difficult stretch of their early schedule.
