To finish out a five-game homestand, our Seattle Kraken played a tight game against the Carolina Hurricanes until late, when the Canes pulled away with two late goals. It was an ugly loss for Seattle, who failed to do much of anything offensively and looked loss at times defensively.

The Seattle Kraken secured their first standings point of the 2023-24 season, but once again the team played like they had earned a full victory. Seattle fell in a shootout to the St. Louis Blues, as the Kraken were unable to put home a second goal during regulation.

In dominating fashion, Seattle Kraken rookie center Matty Beniers was named the 2023 Calder Memorial Trophy winner, selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League. In a do or die game six back in their home of Climate Pledge Arena, the Seattle Kraken got out to a hot start and were able to sustain that pressure to secure a victory and force a game seven in their second round Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup. Some of the teams veterans ensured that the Kraken season would continue, in addition to a few faces you may not expect.

In game three of their first round Stanley Cup Playoff matchup against the defending champion Colorado Avalanche, Seattle’s flawed were exploited by Colorado as the Avalanche took a second straight game. In the first Stanley Cup Playoff game in Seattle since 1919, a capacity crowd filled Climate Pledge Arena, and brought the signature Seattle sports sound we’ve become accustomed to.

In their second year as an NHL Franchise, your Seattle Kraken have punched their playoff ticket! With a win over the Arizona Coyotes tonight, the Kraken will head to the postseason for the first time in franchise history, and they have the potential to do damage when that begins.

Returning home from a four-game road trip, the Seattle Kraken were able to use two-goal periods in the 1st and 3rd to defeat the scrappy division rival Anaheim Ducks by a score of 4-1. Seattle’s magic number drops to 9 thanks to their win and a Nashville Predators loss.

In another tight, heartbreaking loss, the Seattle Kraken fell to the Dallas Stars in overtime. The first of two games the teams will play in three days and of three games this month, Seattle hung with Dallas all night long and even took a lead with less than four minutes left in the game, but failed to slam the door shut.

In an epic rematch of their January 12th thriller, the Seattle Kraken and Boston Bruins traded heavy blows all night long. Ultimately, Boston was able to take advantage of Seattle’s mistakes enough to edge the upstart Kraken.

The Seattle Kraken, on the night that they hosted Black Hockey History night and “Dad/mentor trip” weekend, ended the Detroit Red Wings’ five-game win streak. Seattle was able to make the timely plays to beat a hot Detroit team, and notch the 32nd win of the season for the Kraken.

In their second meeting in the past three games between these two franchises, the Seattle Kraken again proved victorious over the Philadelphia Flyers, this time in blowout fashion.

It took Matty Beniers seven seconds in overtime to extend the Seattle Kraken win streak to seven. The Kraken withstood an early struggle in the first period and a half, scoring two “greasy” goals in order to head to the overtime period.

To end their six game homestand, the Seattle Kraken scored eight goals in a barn burner of a victory over the San Jose Sharks. Seven different skaters found the back of the net for Seattle, as the team continues to display potential pieces of a playoff team.

To end their homestand, the Seattle Kraken grinded out a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins thanks to a solid defensive performance.
