Continuing to add to her historic resume, retired Seattle Storm point guard Sue Bird is joining the teams ownership group, Force10 Hoops, the franchise announced on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024.
Rain City Showcase 2023: Clippers top Jazz as Seattle shows out
The Los Angeles Clippers were the "Home" team tonight, hosting the Utah Jazz and winning behind a strong effort from Kawhi Leonard. The stars were on display at CPA, as numerous Seattle sports legends including Lenny Wilkens, Sue Bird, Bobby Wagner, and current players like J.P. Crawford and Jordan Horston were present at the game. The city of Seattle continues to show out, proving why it deserves an NBA team once again.
Champions of Change Celebrity Basketball Game Features Doug Baldwin, Richard Sherman, More
On Friday, Champions of Change hosted their annual celebrity basketball game featuring Seattle sports legends. Led by Doug Baldwin, the game featured Seahawks legends, former NBA All-Stars, WNBA players, mascots and more. Circling Seattle Sports’ Bel Garcia and Mat Bermudez were there to take in the scenes and connect with some of the Pacific Northwest’s favorite athletes.
Sue’s city: Seattle retires Birds iconic #10 in emotional ceremony
On June 11th, 2023, Seattle Storm and basketball legend Sue Bird put the final period on the basketball chapter of her life. Bird’s iconic #10 jersey was raised to the rafters of Climate Pledge Arena, in front of a crowd of 15k strong following the Storm’s loss to the Washington Mystics.

The Seattle Storm got out to an early lead against the Minnesota Lynx, and never looked back. With Lauren Jackson in attendance, Briann January and Sylvia Fowles being honored, there were plenty of festivities before and during the big win.

The Seattle Storm got a bounce back win, as they defeated the Atlanta Dream. Seattle takes the season series 2-1, and remains firmly in the second seed in the Western Conference.

The Seattle Storm defeated the Indiana Fever for the third time this year, giving the Storm their fourth straight victory. Breanna Stewart continued her MVP caliber play, while Tina Charles continues to add a spark off of the bench.

The Seattle Storm were able to handily defeated the Las Vegas in a Wednesday matchup. The game was close throughout, but ultimately the Storm were able to slam the door shut to secure a big win over the best team in the WNBA to his point.

The Seattle Storm started hot and ended poorly in a tough loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. The Storm looked uncharacteristically poor late in the game, sinking their chance of a comeback.
