THE FOOLS ARE BACK IN TOWN : WEIRD AT NIGHT RETURNS APRIL FIRST
Saturday Night April 1st at 10PM Pacific, the art share, surreal comedy, extravaganza WEIRD at NIGHT returns to Converge Media. This will be a monumental episode of poetry, painting, writing, and dance; Featuring music by NOTFOR$ALE and Terry Monstrosity.
We left for spring break during an epic mystery in our surreal storyline. Who is the Barefoot Messiah? It’s the question everyone is asking. And the answer that feels like the gift that keeps on giving is, Deaunte Damper! Deaunte’s performance as the Barefoot Messiah has been hysterical. During a flashback we learned that The Barefoot Messiah previously ran a Lost & Found in Noirrland, which was shut down by Shoe Detective Steve Germany. Could this be why the Barefoot Messiah is so intent on getting revenge on the city of enigma? And why do all the Shoes in his Footwear army speak in terrible British accents? Answers to these questions and more questions following those answers await you this Saturday Night!
The conclusion of our barefoot mystery begins on April 1st with an all star cast led by video artist and performer, Freddye Dollma Starr. Freddye plays the Mad-Climate Scientist Mandolin Ravage’, as well as their doppelganger Dastardly-Doctor Vince Violin. In this episode we also learn more about Dante- the Ruler of Hell and Beyond; played by Dante Zoe, an incredibly talented illustrator, model, makeup artist and actor. No one has ever played a Devil or Lord of Darkness quite like Dante, who approaches the character with sardonic mystique, a stoner sense of humor and blunt sincerity. Their comedic timing is impeccable.
And, what about The Goblin Bird? Mandolin turned themselves into a homunculus creature who now goes by Mandy Ravage; voiced by Blazinspace and animated by Madeline Williams. Mandy seems to have teamed up with Trae Halloween and her doppelganger TraeAnna Holiday. What could the Voice of Truth, the Queen of Fibs, and the Activist Goblin Bird be planning? Ever since our debate between Science and Medicine, the Truth in the WAN-iverse feels flexible. We intend to stretch our legs and expand our minds with silliness and art!
