Weird at Night Episode 177 - To Expand, Not to Escape
Live at 10pm this Saturday Night, it’s WEIRD at NIGHT! This week on our surreal comedy, art share, live stream extravaganza we feature a video by the BeautyBoiz; a queer collective, based in Seattle, WA. This video gives a behind the scenes look at their amazing work in live event and media production over the last couple years. Also, music videos by TOPP, King Youngblood, and The Blood Plums! Topp’s video Sanity (ft. Yet) is a powerful video about how they persevered after losing a parent with a passion for music. The Blood Plums are an incredible punk band from Atlanta; Saturday night we’ll watch a live performance video for their song ‘Stuck’. And King Youngblood, rising Seattle stars, just released ‘A Thousand Songs’ with a really cool lyric video.
February is Black History Month and Black History is important on WEIRD at NIGHT. On this episode and throughout the month of February we’ll be sharing videos from the Youtube series ‘Black History in Two Minutes or So.’ Previously on WEIRD at NIGHt, we featured their video about Oscar Micheaux; the first Black independent filmmaker. Episode 177 will also feature recurring WAN artists Noel Brass Jr., Terry Monstrosity, NOTFOR$ALE and MARC’L! Plus, Mcgruff (the talking Noir dog) is back with another installment of ‘60 Seconds’.
Last week, our host Patrick Galactic was kidnapped by the Space Raccoons from Mars when the corporate summit between the Trash Force and the galactic fur balls fell apart. Our chat moderator, AlexeffinV, has turned into an evil queen of Trash Force. What will DA QWEEN (Seattle rapper, and ruler of the WAN-iverse) have to say about this!?
You can join the WAN-iverse every Saturday night at 10pm Live on Converge Media!
