Storm offense burned away by the Sun in the second half as Seattle falls to Connecticut
In another tightly contested battle, the Seattle Storm fell in a close loss to the Connecticut Sun. Starting a three-game homestand, the Storm held a three-point lead at the halftime break before the Sun used a strong third quarter to pull away and ultimately never surrender the lead again.
Kelenic comes up clutch as Mariners take series over White Sox with 5-1 win
To close out their series against the Chicago White Sox and their six-game homestand, the Seattle Mariners were victorious thanks to a crucially big game from Bryce Miller and a clutch triple from Jarred Kelenic. Although there wasn’t balance, per say, on the offensive end for Seattle, the Mariners got runs across when they needed to and now head out on a big road trip.
Steelheads’ ‘Sox’ knocked off in the final stretch; fall 4-3 to Chicago in extras
As the team celebrated their Salute to the Negro Leagues, the Seattle Steelheads fell to the Chicago White Sox in game two of their series, sending this to tomorrow’s rubber match. Seattle was unable to take the win in extra innings, failing to get the tying run across to keep the game going.

The Seattle Mariners failed to complete a sweep of the Miami Marlins, as the bats cooled down to a chill and starting pitcher Luis Castillo didn’t have complete control of his fastball in the loss. While Castillo only allowed two runs and the game was within reach, Seattle’s offense couldn’t produce enough.

In the second ever Seattle vs Portland doubleheader, the OL Reign fell to the Portland Thorns as the Reign’s attacking quality failed to beat Portland’s defense. On the other end, the Thorns found two pockets of space to score goals that the Reign couldn’t match in the end.
