Besa Gordon and Bookie Gates invite you to the first ever Swingman Classic featuring 50 of the best HBCU ballplayers in the country.
If you’ve been looking for a Black College homecoming vibe in Seattle, this is it. The Inaugural Swingman Classic is coming to @tmobilepark on July 7th at 7 pm, where 50 of the best HBCU baseball players from around the country will showcase their talents and celebrate Black baseball.
“Ken Griffey Jr has rounded up 50 of the best ballplayers from HBCUs all across the country,” Baseball Beyond Borders Founder and CEO Bookie Gates said. “The fact that this is happening in Seattle is a big deal.”
Hosted by Griffey, along with MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Association, this event is the All-Star game before the All-Star game featuring players from Grambling, Alabama State, FAMU, Jackson State, Norfolk State, Southern University and more.
“It’s literally the All-Star Game before the All-Star Game,” Besa Gordon said.
