Meet Mary Ruffin, Solid Ground's Board Chair since 2023. Mary's journey with Solid Ground began when she lived at the Sand Point Housing campus in Magnuson Park for seven years with her family. During that time, Mary graduated from the University of Washington and UW School of Law.

Mary's passion for community involvement led her to join Solid Ground's Community Accountability Council (CAC) to provide a resident perspective on agency operations and programs. Her dedication and hard work earned her a spot on the Board of Directors in 2021 as a CAC representative, where she helped formalize the CAC's role in selecting Board members.
