Scope Screenings: Celebrating Creativity and Community at SIFF Egyptian Theater

At the Scope Screenings Film Festival, creativity took center stage once again at the SIFF Egyptian Theater in Seattle. Held on the last Tuesday of every month from June through December, Scope Screenings is a hub for filmmakers, producers, and creatives to showcase their work on the big screen. During the recent "Wacky Tacky Night," attendees witnessed an array of films and videos that pushed boundaries and sparked conversations.

"We collaborated with the Black Equality Coalition, which is a program implemented at Panther Lake Elementary School. They have an Unstoppable Coaching program there, and they decided they wanted to create an anthem for it," Entertainment Producer Curtis Delgardo II said.

Delgardo facilitated a collaboration with his artist, Mafi D, to create the anthem for the Unstoppable Coaching program. The festival also highlighted Delgardo's short film, which presents a positive portrayal of hip-hop's influence on youth.

The next Scope Screening is scheduled for October 29th, promising another opportunity for creatives to share their stories and connect with the Seattle film scene. Tickets can be found at LexScopeFilms.com.
