#SupportBlackBusiness - The Rainier Beach Redevelopment Local Loyalty Program

The Rainier Beach High School redevelopment project is more than just a construction site; it catalyzes community revitalization. Through a unique Local Loyalty Program, construction workers are encouraged to support local businesses like Umami Kushi and Creamy Cone Cafe, fostering economic growth and strengthening community ties.

"It's really us trying to invent a way to allow the project and the dollars being spent on the projects to be reinvested in the community we're in," explains Lydig Construction Senior Project Manager Patrick McGlothlin. By incentivizing workers to explore local shops and restaurants, the program ensures the project's positive impact is felt throughout Rainier Beach.

This initiative showcases the importance of investing in local economies and building bridges between projects and the communities they serve. The Rainier Beach High School Redevelopment Project exemplifies how construction projects can create a lasting legacy beyond the physical structure.
