Bite Of Seattle 2023 - Back2Besa

The Bite Of Seattle returned this year following a hiatus to the pandemic. Widely regarded as one of the top food festivals in the United States, the Bite featured over 100 vendors and 50 musical artists. We sent our Besa Gordon and her TV in search of Black businesses at the Bite and they found a handful including Jumping Jambalaya, Kenyan Kitchen, Boss of Sea Moss, Glory Bucha, Ma and Pops, and more.

“When Kiarra said the banana pudding was JUMPIN, sis wasn’t lying,” Gordon said. “The flavors that hit my taste buds literally had me wishing the line wasn’t so long because I wanted more And the Jambalaya…. don’t even get me started.”

Boss of Sea Moss Owner Ezon James was excited about the opportunity to bring his products to a new audience, and was grateful for the support.

“It’s a beautiful day out here,” James said. “Being a Black-owned business, we get a lot of love and support shown to us and we’re grateful.”
