Scope Screenings, Seattle's leading film festival dedicated to showcasing the best in short films, music videos, and short-form content, kicked off its third season on June 25th at the prestigious SIFF Egyptian Theater. Founded by Lex Scope in 2022, Scope Screenings has quickly become known for its vibrant events that combine film screenings with live discussions and networking opportunities.

Black Adam ( 2022) has now made its way onto HBO Max after underperforming at the Box Office. Although I have many thoughts about what Black Adam does wrong, it offers an exciting and simplistic enough plot for us to engage in the exercise of making sense of our morality and assumptions of goodness. 

We return to the fictional planet Pandora and the Na'vi in the second installment in the Avatar franchise; Avatar: The Way of Water. The film has thus far grossed 1.5 billion globally, and Canadian filmmaker James Cameron has already announced three more films after this one.
