Free Tax Help Available at 12 Seattle Public Library Locations
The Seattle Public Library is once again offering free in-person tax preparation services at 12 library locations through mid-April. This valuable service, offered in partnership with United Way of King County (UWKC) and AARP, aims to assist individuals and families with their 2024 tax returns.
Who is eligible?
UWKC Tax Help is available for anyone who earned less than $80,000 in 2024. AARP Tax Help likely has similar income requirements, but you can confirm on their website.
What services are offered?
Trained volunteers can help answer your tax questions and prepare your personal tax return. Note that this service is for personal tax returns only; business tax returns are not eligible.

UWKC Tax Help operates on a drop-in basis, so you can visit the Central Library or South Park Branch during tax help hours. AARP Tax Help offers both drop-in and appointment-based assistance. You can schedule an appointment on the AARP Tax Aide site.
What do I need to bring?

Free black-and-white printing of tax forms is available from library computers.
