Jay Martin Jr. brings his wisdom and perspective to The Day With Trae

On Friday, Jay Martin Jr. sat down with Trae Holiday on The Day With Trae to talk about his recent announcement that he’ll begin hosting nationally with PBS. A journalist and host at Seattle’s KCTS 9 as well as the host of The Drive Project Podcast on the Converge Media Network, Martin will split time between Seattle and New York as he continues to work in both cities.

He spoke with Trae about receiving the news, as well as a delay which challenged him and taught him a valuable lesson.

“Don’t let a divine delay become a devilish distraction,” Martin said.

He also spoke about his dinner at Seattle’s Ben Paris restaurant, located at The State Hotel. He and his wife Shan hosted a double date for a lucky couple who won the dinner and tickets to see The Wiz at Fifth Avenue Theatre.
